February 2019 :   Annual Pet Dental Health Campaign !

Just as people should have regular checkups by their dentists , pets need regular dental care , too .

Signs of oral and dental diseases in dogs and cats :

 -  Bad breath .

 -  Loose teeth or teeth that are discolored or covered in tartar .

 -  Your pet shies away from you when you touch the mouth area .
 -  Drooling or dropping food from the mouth .
 -  Bleeding from the mouth .
 -  Loss of appetite or weightloss .

What can you do?

  • Schedule an appointment for your pet's dental exam. Don't wait for his annual checkup if you suspect a problem. For pets with a history of oral problems, frequent examinations and cleanings may be advised.

  • During your pet's oral exam, we will look for signs of plaque, tarter, bacteria and gingivitis. Plaque — a colourless film — contains potentially harmful bacteria that left unchecked can build up and create infection, enter the bloodstream and may affect vital organs, such as the heart and kidneys.

  • We may suggest steps that include a home care regimen that includes regular brushing and feeding a food clinically proven to remove plaque and fight gingivitis.

  • Schedule regular veterinary checkups. These are essential in helping us monitor the progress of your pet's dental health
